Sometimes I come back! Anna in her wonderland on an Italian Christmas late edition and the mid January (non) New Year Resolution!!

12 Jan

Dear Readers

Sometimes I come back as you can see, I know it has been a while with Christmas, the holidays, the vacation and all that but I am finally back, luckily just for a month, I can’t already bare how cold is back here, I am more a sunny & hot weather type of girl, 100% more Miami than Brighton Beach!

I had such a great and amazing time back home in Italy to celebrate Christmas with my family and my friends, they were 8 full days of fun, laughter, shopping trips, lunches and dinners and lots of dancing in the clubs around my hometown of Bergamo, I felt like 18 again! It is so crazy how just a week spend with the people you love most that unfortunately due to the circumstances I don’t see that often recharged my batteries and gave me a massive energy boost to keep going, so glad to have such great family and awesome loving friends in my life!!!

Touched down back in the Kingdom it was time to celebrate with my husband and leave the cold behind for the sunny shores of Miami, our favourite place on earth, where we just enjoyed hanging out, sunbathing, swimming, eating and drinking, walking the neighbours’ dog (I have the new role of Floridian dog sitter to a gorgeous 7 months old golden retriever), getting the boat ready for the February trip and having fun!!

I have been reading a lot on social media recently about New Year’s resolution…is that me but this year it seems a bit gone too far…I mean so many people are talking about it non-stop…and will they actually “obey” to their NY’s vows? Of course everybody (apart me) feels a bit fat after all the overindulging during the Christmas holidays but a bit of control and a bit of exercises will get everything and everybody back in track, without any drama and without becoming a body builder or a fitness fanatic for a few weeks!

So pleased of my fast burning metabolism, in Italy I must admit all I ate was pasta, tons of pizza and I couldn’t resist to focaccia when I drove down to the Riviera for the day…lots of veggie too but just such a different diet to what I normally cook and eat here…and within 3 days 2kg were gone, where I do not really need to lose weight!! The secret is just happiness and moderation, in everything, and stop going on with all new year’s resolution bullshit, have fun & be happy!

With Love

Two months to Christmas let’s begin the countdown! Obsessed with nails, baking and dogs right now!

25 Oct

Dear readers

I popped into the local garden center a few days ago and I was shocked when Christmas trees, Christmas decorations and lights were in display, how does the time go? I can’t believe we are only two months away, maybe the mild temperatures we are experiencing at the moment don’t struck me like Jingle Bells and Feliz Navidad songs just yet!

Since the last trip away I am all about cooking, as usual, diligently going to the gym twice a week (rather strange for me!) and despite I was never that bothered before since my birthday I have become obsessed with nails and since I started to have my manicure done with Shellac, oh my a new world opened for me and my nails say thanks a lot!

I have been biting my nails on an off basically all my life and to find an nail polish that lasts and makes my nail stronger, it was a revelation!!

I am still cooking and baking a lot, experimenting and sometimes I even follow recipes fully, which is quite a novelty for me, I do like add my own taste to things! And can you believe that in less than a month Coco is going to be 2 years old? She is still a crazy dog, eating everything she finds around (a few days ago was my usb key, business cards, lip balm…and of course plastic bottles ), I must say it is a joy to have her around that she makes my day always happy!

Have a great weekend everybody

I’m so sorry I did not have enough time to write on my blog on Tuesday but it has been a very busy day! Got up with a very big headache, done some cleaning, did some work for the office, made lunch for me and my husband, went to the doctor (again…I will call myself Mrs blood test from now on…) and went to Vodafone to get my new Blackberry 9900…finally after 10 days it arrived! Unfortunately the guys tried to back up my old Blackberry on the new one but without success, and in the meantime they told me to go for a coffee..well I gave up coffee for tea so I went around the shops in town and I could not notice sales half price at La Senza, who doesn’t need a new bra and some pants??? My phone wasn’t ready, I had to rush at home to go to southampton to see friends, so I had to leave the new one at home in the box!!! Nice to see J and B again and have a nice Italian dinner, when I see San Pellegrino water, Birra Moretti and pizza in front of me my heart melts!!!

The Hangover – part 2

4 Sep

10am

Just woke up after the wedding day on the Isle of Wight and I feel my head a bit heavy! It was a nice day, it took us four hours to get there due to the traffic, the ferry and more traffic but it was a nice and pleasant day. B and J got married on a garden in front of family and friends, after that we had the speeches, toasts, and we cut the cake. I was a bit disappointed when they say, ok guys dinner is at 5pm (I’m a foodie and my previous meal was a yogurt at 9am for breakfast)! So for that reason we filled the lack of food with probably too much champagne! Vegetarian dinner at 5 was good and around 7.30 we hit the road to come back home and we stopped for a pizza on the way! Weather was good, 20 degrees, sometimes cloudy sometimes sunny and my outfit was good, thanks Miss Selfridge! I wish all the best to B and J!!!! Now some pictures…have a good Sunday you all, whatever you are up to.
