Sunshine, upgraded car and online shopping….the Anna in her wonderland chronicles

10 Mar

Dear readers

I hope you all had a very nice weekend, here in the south east the weather has been glorious and we enjoyed being outdoors and going out…goodbye winter and welcome spring, please last!

Last Monday we collected my new car, which I am very pleased to drive around, I am just a bit concerned by the size of it. My first car (in Italy) was a Smart, I had a Smart when I moved to England (2 seats), we bought an Audi A1 two years ago (4 seats) and now we just upgraded myself to a 7 seats…I think I can get pregnant now that I have a big car! 😉

In the past week I tried to work hard at the gym…failing! But me and Coco enjoyed long walks in the country that should still count as a workout…please allow me this! The passion for baking hasn’t gone and my last creation was a recipe that I highly customised … chocolate cake with Frangelico liquor and hazelnut…so tasty!

But for some strange reason despite all my baking I still look quite skinny and I can’t believe I managed to squeeze myself into a size 12/13 years denim shorts from H&M…bring it on sunshine!!!

I feel rather green at the moment…thanks to my latest high street purchase in Italy, a pair of green heels which they perfectly match one of my cashmere sweater…but anyway let’s not talk too much about wintery clothes…I am going to be in Miami in a week time, bring it on Miami Music Conference and bring it on summery online shopping! (all done this morning…to beat the Monday blues)

Summer has finally come, but for how long? Enjoy the tropical Brighton and thinking about memorial weekend in Miami!

25 May

According to weather office and according to what it is written on the paper, this week England is warmer than Hawaii, believe it or not. Well anyway it is so nice going to work just in t-shirt, jeans and flip flops, come back home, have a Pimms on the patio enjoying a bit of sunshine and the view, hopefully it will last for a while! It’s funny walking around town, day 1 everyone was wearing shorts and t-shirt, so you could see lots of skinny, medium and large very pale legs walking up and down on the seafront, day 2 and day 3 the colours have changed…now all the Brits are flashing red legs and bare chests…class!

Anyway I feel in summer mood, I look for espadrilles shoes, vests, wedges and I couldn’t believe my luck 2 days ago, as you all now I got nominated for the blog sunshine award (thanks again girls!) and I went for a walk in the high street. I have been monitoring a certain British shop for 5weeks now, twice I week I went in, walked around every single aisles looking for something specific, and finally on Wednesday my perseverance has finally paid off! I got it!!!

The fish dress Mary Katrantzou style…I saw this dress so many times on fashion magazines in the past few weeks and I needed it, thanks Primark!!! I hope everyone will enjoy the gorgeous weekend, will think about memorial weekend in the US, come on party people!!!

Low cost shopping, great fun…and good excuse to escape from my lonely wonderland

25 Apr

As you know I haven’t had much to do recently and this fact has actually started to bother me a bit, the weather has been horrible recently, rain non-stop since last week, been working out at the gym every other day but, I start to feel frustrated and I cannot wait to go away on Monday. Is just me or is it normal feel like the time is just flying by…and despite and I’m not busy at all I arrive at the evening thinking: – Oh shit I haven’t done that, oh yes I must do that tomorrow…come on turn back time I need more hour during the day…looking for a job is exhausting, plus when no one even bother to reply…even more frustrating!

Today I woke up and it was raining, and raining, and raining. I keep on seeing rabbits everywhere, every time I look out of the window there is a bit of wildlife going on, I will start to talk to them soon…and it was still raining, and raining and raining. I have to do something today just to take my mind off things for a bit so when around 12 stopped to rain for a bit (MIRACLE) I went down to Brighton for some Low Cost Shopping down in the high street and I was pleasantly pleased with myself!

I don’t get why lots of people slag off most of the high street shops, Primark? For chavs and poor people! New look? Not good! Topshop? Cheap shop! H&M? polyester a go go…hang on….are all British people millionaires right now? Because I heard this morning on the radio England is in recession again and unfortunately right now designer is off limits for my wallet so why not?

Monday we are off again to Miami (YEAH!) and I just needed some basic t-shirts…well actually as usual I did not need a thing but I found a few interesting bits anyway!

Electric blue shorts? Yeah! As a huge fan of Rihanna … I needed that t-shirt!   And what about some LMFAO? Party rock! And the espadrilles? They are taking me right back to my childhood! So Miami…low cost I will come over!

Feeling the spring, love the warm temperature….and I can’t wait to wear my new bikinis! H&M swimwear collection

23 Mar

I was still in vacation last week when my best friend Anna texted me: Dear friend, you must go to H&M, I just bought two amazing bikinis, pictures to follow! This week when I finally had a bit of time to sat down with my laptop, I thought: I’ll go to have a look and of course, I liked the swimwear collection immediately and I ordered 2 bikinis straight away, still waiting for them to turn up but there is no rush, I need them in 38 days! Do you want to have a look? These two are the one I bought

And this one is in my wish list…so pretty!

Going to hit the high street again today, lovely gorgeous day so why not go to the seafront and have a look at the shops? Have a great day everyone! And a great weekend too!

Keep calm and carry on style frames…crazy in love for it!!!

17 Dec

Keep calm and carry on. So inspirational, and so pretty in so many different colours and in so many different designs. A massive thing around England, and I love it.

But yesterday I found something even prettier than these slogans, walking around the shops in Brighton in a shop I love called England at Home  I found the local “keep calm style” frames about the towns around Brighton area, and of course I bought one for us to bring to Miami, just to remember where we live:

Brighton rocks

Ditchling, common? Town just around the corner

Hove, actually

Eastbourne to be wild

This is the one I got for us!!

They even do costumized ones, as you can find out on the website

Not in the high street

What about a donkey frame? My husband calls me donkey in such a lovely way, I might find this frame between my Christmas present!

In the meantime,  you can listen to the Christmas donkey song, thinking about me!

Have a good weekend!

Everyone loves some early Christmas presents!

16 Dec

It’s Thursday the 15th December (well it’s actually the 16th when everyone will read this post), 10 days to Christmas, and the town is desert, how crazy is that? I spent 5 hours in office without take my lunch break so I could go out earlier to meet up with my husband to finish off some unfinished business…the latest Christmas presents for the family!!

I can’t believe that Brighton was so empty today around the shops in the lanes, ok the credit crunch, the recession, the Eurozone, Italian economy going downhill like Greece…but come on it’s Christmas it happens just once a year! Make the people you love happy and make the retailers even happier! I love my husband so much: he’s loving, caring, and with an amazing taste (he cannot be British I swear!!!) today I got my Christmas present from him, a gorgeous pair of dark brown leather and fur All Saints boots…when my best friend Anna will see them she will collapse!!

Love to get Christmas presents before Christmas; it makes me feel so excited! I cannot reveal the Christmas present I got for my hubby for obvious reasons (he reads my blog) but I tell you they will be LV related, can’t say anything else! Last night I got some more early Christmas presents from my mother in law, love the selection of different teas, the mini rose champagne, the pink truffles, the Cowshed products…oh my I’m like a child on Christmas day, but I’m not a child anymore, and it’s not Christmas yet!!!

It has been two weeks since we met up for dinner with our friends Joe and Becky when the invited us over for a lovely homemade dinner, I have just been so busy that I didn’t have the time to post the pictures yet! Joe…your Thai green curry was good, but your baileys cheesecake as out of this world!!!

Happy Friday to everyone!

Pamper yourself up, the only way to get over morning grumpiness!

7 Dec

My day started in such a funny way that if I’ll tell someone everyone will laugh at me For Ever…but because I like to share my things…I’ll write about.

8.15 am the church bells on iPod touch woke me up…still with my mask on my face I turn the light on and I turn the radio on, just to make sure I cannot fall asleep again. I know it sounds wrong but still half asleep I check on the iPod how good the blog yesterday, quick look at twitter and another look is for facebook.

A friend of mine wrote that her iPhone has fallen in the toilet, she made me laugh and she made me think when my 3 years old nokia fell in the toilet as well and it’s still working now, how crazy is that? They don’t build anymore the strong stuff they used to. (Thanks Catherine anyway!!)

By the way, I got up and what did it happen? My belly button piercing fell in the toilet as well, DAMN IT! I have been brave, I rescued it from the toilet, wash it carefully, just about to put it back in…here we are the main ball fell, this time on the floor, actually on the carpet…and it got lost! Thinking about that I remembered I have some spare piercing bits in my make up bag, I open that small plastic bag and all the equipment fall as well! It took me 15 minutes on the floor to look for tongue bars and everything else, by the way I had to change my belly button piercing with another one, balls are still missing on the bathroom’s floor!

By the time I got in the shower I was grumpy like a moody cow and I thought, today is not going to be a good day! Looking at myself I felt pale, sleepy and with very bad hair…that’s why I decided to go for a chop on my lunchtime! Sorry Marc…or Zohan…my French hairdresser in Miami…you left my hair too empty and long with all the layers…so here I am, feeling happy with a new haircut done and a little help from a sunbed…I love to pamper myself up!

By the way I’m going to super glue my belly button piercing and just to make sure even my tongue bar…JUST IN CASE!!

Do you like the new haircut? sorry about the picture, it’s not the best one!

Have a gooda day you all.

Leggins…no please

28 Oct

I must say I am not a fan of leggings. Despite I’m thin with a Brazilian looking bottom, I do not feel confident wearing leggings, I think it shows every single imperfection. Everywhere I look here in England I can see girls wearing leggings, thin girls, chunky girls, everyone. I take in England wearing leggings it’s a kind of Off Duty and easy way to dress…but it shouldn’t. When I want to be off duty, or simply I don’t feel like give too much attention to what I wear, I just take out of the closed a pair of jeans and a T-shirt; it does work well all the time. Unflattering leggings, the new wool ones as well…should be banned from the nation. Or at least be banned after size 8…or at least be so decent to add a long jumper with…I’m not trying to be mean or “racist” against chunky girls…but please do think about girls, leggings do not help you. And who’s talking is a 48kg, 7.5stone, 105.6pounds that cannot stand to see this horror in the street.

I’m ok with skinny jeans…same principle, but at least skinny jeans are not cellulite – see through.

Please God, save the Queen and the nation from the leggings invasion!

Have a great weekend everyone and party rock 😉

Obsessed with Hello Kitty

26 Oct

I am a kid. A Big one. A 27 years old one.

And despite my age I do still love Hello Kitty, I don’t know why, that design have always appealed to me, I even made my 16 months old niece crazy for Hello Kitty as well, so when my parents arrived on Sunday with two Hello Kitty shirts as a present, well you can all imagine my joy!

27 years old…and I don’t fancy growing up.

Versace and H&M…my Christmas will start the 17th November!

20 Oct

I arrived in office this morning at 10am as usual and the first email I got in my inbox was the Vogue newsletter with the first pictures of the Versace for H&M collection, I got so excited that I started to think, well what shall I get when the collection will be available in store?

Here you can see my favourite pieces:

PS: I think it’s going to be fun to fight in store the 17th November, the day before I will come back from Miami and 100% I will have an hell of jet lag affecting me…well hopefully I could start to buy online at 00.01! 🙂

Reading the Daily Mail online today I discovered that Jimmy Choo celebrate 15 years in the shoe business with a book….well something else to add to my shopping list, after I got my wedding shoes I fell in love for it

Right…I’m going to feel a bit lonely, my husband is away for 10 days and until Sunday night when my parents will arrive from Italy I will be a bit lonely…hopefully I’m going to manage to organise something or to go somewhere nice to keep myself busy…I will start to enjoy my ME TIME tonight with a glass of rose… I’ll drink to that!

xx
