Living the Miami dream, a minute is cloudy a minute is sunny! Anyway I am enjoying the last full day!

29 Jun

Hello readers,

I’m sure I have mentioned before how much I love spent time here in Miami beach, the atmosphere is always great and it makes me feel happy just seeing the sunshine…well unfortunately in the last few days the weather hasn’t been great and I do feel it! I love everything about Florida, but I think I went to paradise…and I mean Bimini island in the Bahamas, and I nearly felt sick with boredom because I was in an amazing place but because the weather was so bad I felt so claustrophobic and I need to get the hell out of there, fast! I love going around Miami and downtown with the boat…but the weather now is so changeable and you don’t want to risk to take the boat out and get caught in the middle of a storm, to go and come back from Bimini I felt so scared that I need to be sedated with Valium tablets and motion sickness tablets that I still feel drugged now nearly a week later!!! Miami we heart you…the only good and bad thing is I keep on cooking lunch at home and we keep on going out in the evening enjoying the local restaurant… My husband said I am developing body body dysmorphia but I am sure I am getting fat and I need to go on a diet as soon as we go back! Had a new haircut to my favorite salon in south beach (Prive salon at the shore club hotel, I love so much my french hairdresser Marc!!) and tomorrow unfortunately we fly back home, but in two weeks time it’s Saint Tropez baby!!!

Love you all.

So many things happened in the past few days that I haven’t actually had time to realise everything, arrived in Miami, went to Bahamas by boat (what a trauma!!!), came back early due to the horrible weather, in Miami again but the weather is not better than Bahamas plus the humidity is crazy….not much to do so we did hit the shops, Aventura mall and Bal Harbor ! In the next few days I will update you all with the pictures from Bimini, met nice people but shame we couldn’t enjoy it totally!!! Just about to hit downtown Miami for some sushi…bring it on!!

That’s what we were supposed to do in Bahamas, not coming back!

Bal Harbor mall, north miami

That’s the closest I will ever go to a pair of Louboutin shoes….

I had a dream….but I went for something for suitable for my pockets!

I left my heart in Barbados…but I brought one back! Love Chopard happy diamonds

As you all know I fell in love for Barbados during my honeymoon, the best place to be, so chilled, so relaxed, such a paradise on earth.

On the last day when I discovered that less than 10 minutes away from our hotel there is a luxury mall (Lime grove in Holetown) I couldn’t believe my luck…and when I saw this ring I fell in love with.

Chopard ring from the Happy diamonds collection, thanks my lovely husband!!

Isn’t it beautiful? Somehow it reminds me the gorgeous engagement ring of my friend Shonda…I did not try to copy yours because yours is unbeatable!!!

I know I have been back for a bit now, but the ring was at the local jewellery store to be resized, and now I’m so happy!!!

I miss the streets of Bridgetown…and I have the Cinderella’s syndrome today!

14 Jan

I love this song from Rihanna. I loved from the first time I heard in Loud. And I loved even more when I heard this song and other reggae songs in the streets of Bridgetown….I miss Barbados and the good time we had already so much, but I’m so glad I visited Rihanna’s country! Today the jet lag made me like Cinderella…I felt like cleaning all day, so I did!

All the way around the island…in our mini car! Enjoyed the real Barbados! And now…back to Miami!

10 Jan

I apologize but in Barbados I had some wi fi trouble at the resort,so frustrating when 2 days ago I spent half an hour to write thw blog, reduce the pics and all that, ready to blog and I couldn’t! So… Back to Miami for a few days…but I’d like to show the post I wrote 2 days ago, shall we go back time? I hope you don’t mind!

8th January 2012

Feeling very tired and I start to feel my skin hitchy and a bit burnt from the strong Caribbean sun, but I still love here!!! Shame that tomorrow we are leaving the island, but we are going back to Miami so, it is not going to be that traumatic! Rented a car for the day and off we went to explore the island, we met a tour guide..allegedly…jumped in the car with us and went around with him, on saint Lucy to see were the Atlantic ocean touches the barbadian shores…went to see the goats and the Cowes overlooking the bay, saw the big mushroom rocks where once the sea was arriving inland…left him and lighter by 50 us dollars we went to the east coast and we ended up in a town called Bathsheba, a surfing paradise!!! Love it here so much…shall I let the picture to speak? Let’s go!

Buffalo soldier, dreadlock rasta, Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival; Driven from the mainland to the heart of the Caribbean…Barbados I love you!

Hello everyone,

Apparently I disappointed my mum because I didn’t post for a day…so I try to save myself with a last minute post before go out on a boat ride for the day!…well it was my plan but unfortunately the Wi-Fi wasn’t working today at the hotel!

So sorry about that…but for 2 days we didn’t have any wi fi at the resort, now finally it’s all sorted!

Loving the Barbados, loving the people, so friendly and so polite…the only thing is … there are too many Brits here and full English breakfast wasn’t my idea of a Caribbean breakfast!!!

Enjoy the pictures!!!

Hello everyone,

So glad we left the freezing cold Miami this morning, I couldn’t believe how cold it went yesterday and today…we were probably 40 degrees…or 5degrees I should say for the Europeans! 3 and half hours flight, and I think we landed in paradise…I love Barbados already! Sandy beaches, hot weather, friendly people, good rum….and I fell in love!!! Our special honeymoon in a special place…I’m going to tweet rihanna soon if she’d like to meet up with us! I’ll let the beautiful pictures to speak….

The ordinary day of an aspiring housewife during Christmas time

14 Dec

Get up at 8.15am, have a shower, have breakfast, getting ready to go to work. Drive to the station and find out there is no room left in the car park I pay 50 pounds a month to park my little Smart. (Watch out you guys working for the National Railway…revenge will come soon…) Decide to not to go to the office in Brighton and work from home. Pit stop in WHSmith to buy some Christmas cards, stamps and some magazines. Go back home. Start to do some wrapping for the last Christmas presents I got through the shopping online. The wrapping took me nearly 2 hours for 5 presents…I AM USELESS AT WRAPPING, I should blame my mum, she’s so good at and she didn’t teach me how to!!! Hoover time, and it’s 12.30. Get my car, notice that my car has been scratched yesterday….probably my fault…well it must be my fault no one else drives it! Go to see my gorgeous husband for lunch, go out with him and so kindly he buys for me a Saint Lucia’s present, a babyliss hair straightener.

Going back home, doing some work, doing some twitter and facebook, reading the daily mail online while drinking a cup of earl grey tea. It’s raining, and the sun is shining at the same time.

My friend and her gorgeous daughters come over to see me, more tea and more gossip. Once they have gone, Time to play around with my new hair straightener….and took some silly pictures of it.

Starting to cook dinner for my husband and a friend of us, starting to drink beer. Doing the mash potatoes, forgot to cut the potatoes before boiling them…Had a smoky good dinner with venison sausages, mash potatoes and courgette and aubergine.

Drinking red wine with it. My husband realises that he has to drop our friend back to the station, but he has already had too much to drink. So wife, you and your Italian driving licence, can you drive him back? Of course darling – while sipping my wine – let’s go! Back from the drive, still drinking my red wine…love being an housewife!!!

Have a good day you all
