I left my heart in Barbados…but I brought one back! Love Chopard happy diamonds

26 Jan

As you all know I fell in love for Barbados during my honeymoon, the best place to be, so chilled, so relaxed, such a paradise on earth.

On the last day when I discovered that less than 10 minutes away from our hotel there is a luxury mall (Lime grove in Holetown) I couldn’t believe my luck…and when I saw this ring I fell in love with.

Chopard ring from the Happy diamonds collection, thanks my lovely husband!!

Isn’t it beautiful? Somehow it reminds me the gorgeous engagement ring of my friend Shonda…I did not try to copy yours because yours is unbeatable!!!

I know I have been back for a bit now, but the ring was at the local jewellery store to be resized, and now I’m so happy!!!

I miss the streets of Bridgetown…and I have the Cinderella’s syndrome today!

14 Jan

I love this song from Rihanna. I loved from the first time I heard in Loud. And I loved even more when I heard this song and other reggae songs in the streets of Bridgetown….I miss Barbados and the good time we had already so much, but I’m so glad I visited Rihanna’s country! Today the jet lag made me like Cinderella…I felt like cleaning all day, so I did!

All the way around the island…in our mini car! Enjoyed the real Barbados! And now…back to Miami!

10 Jan

I apologize but in Barbados I had some wi fi trouble at the resort,so frustrating when 2 days ago I spent half an hour to write thw blog, reduce the pics and all that, ready to blog and I couldn’t! So… Back to Miami for a few days…but I’d like to show the post I wrote 2 days ago, shall we go back time? I hope you don’t mind!

8th January 2012

Feeling very tired and I start to feel my skin hitchy and a bit burnt from the strong Caribbean sun, but I still love here!!! Shame that tomorrow we are leaving the island, but we are going back to Miami so, it is not going to be that traumatic! Rented a car for the day and off we went to explore the island, we met a tour guide..allegedly…jumped in the car with us and went around with him, on saint Lucy to see were the Atlantic ocean touches the barbadian shores…went to see the goats and the Cowes overlooking the bay, saw the big mushroom rocks where once the sea was arriving inland…left him and lighter by 50 us dollars we went to the east coast and we ended up in a town called Bathsheba, a surfing paradise!!! Love it here so much…shall I let the picture to speak? Let’s go!

Buffalo soldier, dreadlock rasta, Fighting on arrival, fighting for survival; Driven from the mainland to the heart of the Caribbean…Barbados I love you!

Hello everyone,

Apparently I disappointed my mum because I didn’t post for a day…so I try to save myself with a last minute post before go out on a boat ride for the day!…well it was my plan but unfortunately the Wi-Fi wasn’t working today at the hotel!

So sorry about that…but for 2 days we didn’t have any wi fi at the resort, now finally it’s all sorted!

Loving the Barbados, loving the people, so friendly and so polite…the only thing is … there are too many Brits here and full English breakfast wasn’t my idea of a Caribbean breakfast!!!

Enjoy the pictures!!!

Hello everyone,

So glad we left the freezing cold Miami this morning, I couldn’t believe how cold it went yesterday and today…we were probably 40 degrees…or 5degrees I should say for the Europeans! 3 and half hours flight, and I think we landed in paradise…I love Barbados already! Sandy beaches, hot weather, friendly people, good rum….and I fell in love!!! Our special honeymoon in a special place…I’m going to tweet rihanna soon if she’d like to meet up with us! I’ll let the beautiful pictures to speak….

Life in flip flops…how can it be better?

Another day in Miami….freezing cold unfortunately….and tomorrow we are off….to Barbados!!!

Key largo, Miami, Downtown, New Year’s eve, Poweboating…I Have too much to say!!!

3 Jan

Hello everyone,

I’m so sorry about not posting yesterday, I tried to, but at 9.30pm eastern time I was already asleep so I couldn’t do the blog, it doesn’t help the fact I haven’t got internet connection anymore in the condo!

We had an amazing new year’s eve, we had a very good meal at home (my husband cooked everything and it was so good!!!) , we went out walking up and down ocean drive that it was packed in a crazy way, thanks to the concert on the beach with Jason Derulo, Cee lo green and Gym class heroes!!

Yesterday was boating a lot, and today it was the same, we tried twice to go to Bimini (Bahamas) yesterday and today but half way I had a panic attack, too bumpy for me…so we ended up to go to Finnegans on the Miami river yesterday and down to gilbert’s in key largo today…it was good but now I’m kind of glad the boat is going back to Ft Lauderdale and we are going to Barbados in 2 days!!!!!  I’ll show you some pictures of the last few days…love you all and thanks for your support!!!

My lucky post number 100??? So much to look forward to!

19 Dec

It’s going to be big; it’s going to be good. I cannot believe I am writing my post number 100!! Someone must be bored, someone maybe still enjoys my blog.

I just do this for the pleasure of writing, still hoping that my written English is good enough to be understood! I am still recovering from the fun weekend, trying to wash the alcohol away with plenty of Earl Grey Tea, it’s my last day at work and I have so much to look forward to:

1. Flying back to Italy tomorrow

2. Spend my day with my gorgeous niece, my brother and my parents

3. See my friends

4. Spend Christmas with my family

5. Come back on Boxing day evening and celebrate Christmas with my gorgeous husband

6. Flying to Miami

7. Spend New Year’s eve in Miami

8. Flying to Barbados for our late honeymoon on the 4th January

9. Enjoy Barbados (hopefully we are going to meet Rihanna!)

10. Enjoy more days in Miami

Do you think have I got enough to look forward to? I hope so!

Office Christmas lunch today and tonight a good dinner with my husband based on my special homemade Lasagne, wash down with some good Prosecco!

Have a good day everyone! xxx

Break the tradition…just like that!

30 Nov

Winter evenings, countdown to Christmas, red wine, the blanket on the sofa, trash TV on, as usual, what else do we need to enjoy a pleasant cold evening? Some old good comfort food! It has been a while since my last Sunday Roast, and even longer for my husband, so in the past two weekends we tried to go for a pub lunch to enjoy a roast but due to a series to umpredictable events we weren’t able to make it, so why not have a Roast Dinner on a Tuesday night? it was good and delicious, plus I didn’t need to cook, Kim did!

Yeah…it was good!

Happy birthday to my Mum-in-Law, we are going to celebrate tonight at home with another homemade dinner by my husband again, looks like I’m on cooking strike 😉

– 2 days to our weekend in Venice

-20 to go back home for Christmas

-28 to Miami and Barbados!

I woke up with this song in my mind today, and because of Tinie Tempah I remembered one of our last holiday in March with friends, where we met him!

Becky, Tinie and me @ Surfcomber pool party – SoBe

My husband and I – moijto time!

Out for dinner, at joe’s stone crab

God I miss Miami so much!

Countdown to Christmas…

23 Nov

What a day….I couldn’t even get up this morning, I felt so tired and powerless…looked out of the window and I thought to be in Milan, I couldn’t see a thing, the fog is so thick today and still…I cannot see what’s on the other side of the garden!

I had to fight the traffic, 10 minutes to do 1mile…not too bad then…no parking spaces at my usual car park in station, went to check the other one…no one space was free + 12 spaces have been taken away to do some sort of road works or to cut the trees from the wall behind…thanks bloody National Railway system, 50 pounds a month to park my bloody car and no spaces are available, I didn’t check the train timetable but I’m sure because the fog all the trains could have been delayed…damn it.

By the way I’m back home, chilling and thinking in a few days we can start the countdown to Christmas!!! I’m happy because I will go back home the 21 or 22 December, I will spend time with my friends my family and my gorgeous niece Martina and the 26 evening I will come back, celebrate Christmas with my husband…and the 28 December we will leave again to go to Miami and to Barbados, the proper honeymoon time….I cannot wait.

I love buy Christmas presents for my family and friends but I’m not too bothered about what I’m going to receive, at the end of the day Christmas has become just a commercial occasion to spend money and we don’t even know the real meaning of the festivity…but whatever…

If I could make a wish list, even an impossible one…this will be on my list:

I would love a new Louis Vuitton bag, costumized with Mon Monogram

Or in this color…

I know I’m old enough, but I would like to receive the Hello Kitty Vans…

I don’t know if this image is real or not, but if I know Christian Louboutin created this…well I want them!

I think the previous one looks better…but still cool!

What about an Hello Kitty dress….? just kidding, only LADY GAGA  rocks in a dress like that!

what else? …. I don’t know…move to Florida maybe?

Have a good day everyone!
