2 years of being married, hot British summertime in progress, a blogging competition won, good weekend just flew by and I am going to fly away on Monday again!

happy second wedding anniversary

Hello dear readers

I cannot believe I have been married for 2 years already! Lots of friends texted me and messaged me on facebook today to remind me our gorgeous wedding day on Lake Como…as someone suggested we should all go back there for a party to celebrate…do you think George Clooney will be so kind to hand me the keys of his villa? I wish!!!

We had such a good weekend  celebrating the combined stag and Hen do of a couple of friends, we watched the polo match, we drank, we danced…and we did sweat a lot, I can’t complain anymore about the British weather then! Sunday was a heavy day standing up all day at Goodwood Festival of Speed…I walked so far around the show that at one stage my right ankle got so swollen I could barely walk….hopefully not a beginning of cankles please!!

I woke up on Monday with the news that I have won the blogging competition set up by Milla Grace, a gourgeous boutique in Brighton so, really pleased with myself I went into town to meet the owners and collect my prize, a beautiful Trim detail jacket in mint from Almost Famous…I am so happy and I want to thanks Milla Grace and wishing all the best to this newly open boutique in the heart of the Brighton Lanes!!!

Easy week ahead just to enjoy the sunshine and off again on Monday for two weeks with the family in Miami…but let’s show you some pictures of the weekend!

And on Sunday I am going to Goodwood Festival of Speed, for someone who’s not that keen on cars should be good fun anyway…I actually look forward to that, Sunday should be the busiest day of the 4 days event, sold out for ages…bring it on then!! Me and my husband will be at the Michelin stand next to this gorgeous Audi R8 in chrome…if I forget my mirror I can put make up on just looking it at!

The style challenge, I have a wedding coming up and the Beach Polo to attend…#millagracestyleme might help me!

Hello dear readers

I received an email yesterday from Milla Grace boutique in the lanes in Brighton, they contacted me to give me the chance to participate to the #millagracestyleme competition and I couldn’t miss this opportunity!!

The aim is to create a look from the products featured on the Milla Grace site or in their store in Dukes Lane, Brighton; the winning blog will win their favorite piece from their look…

Well I am working on now! I am going to attend the Beach Polo on Sandbanks next Saturday and I really don’t know what to wear, I am not normally a person that dress up in pretty summery dresses, I am more the type “skinny jeans, white shirt and leather jacket combo”, but let’s try to make an effort for this event. I have chosen the light blue colour for my possible outfit:

trim detail jacket in mint Almost Famous Drew dress in aqua Virginie Castaway Aldo shoes BuitoNail Varnish in GommeI am always cold, and the weather is rather unpredictable in England isn’t it? That’s why I added the Almost Famous Trim detail jacket in Mint colour, the drew dress  in Aqua is really pretty but elegant at the same time, and to keep the theme I love the light blue nail varnish to brighten up your mani-pedi! The shoes are from Aldo shoes, white, simple, with a heel that should support me on the sand and from 1pm to 1am!

I forgot to say that I am going to the Beach Polo to celebrate the combined stag/hen do of a lovely couple of friends of mine, and of course my next big event to attend is their wedding in Southampton, where I need another outfit for!

I know one of the first rules of a wedding is…only the bride can wear white, right? Ok I understand, but as you all know me I love breaking rules and make up my own ones, so can I wear this outfit please?

I love that white dress…and what better than a yellow jacket and yellow heels to make it “less white” but still bright and funny? With a touch of colour with that nail varnish to make the outfit more sophisticated… I cannot afford Louboutin shoes at all but my birthday is coming up…so husband read here please! 😉

For once it’s not all about me: my first wedding planning job! Congratulations to my bride and groom Charlotte and Guy on their wedding day!

Italian wedding in wonderland I am so proud to have organized the wedding of Charlotte and Guy, a lovely couple who contacted me back in November last year. We have been working closely together in the past 8 months with daily emails ad phone calls; I am so pleased to have had Charlotte and Guy as my first clients on my new venture Italian Wedding in Wonderland, I couldn’t have had better clients.

For their wedding venue they have chosen Villa del Lupo, a gorgeous Villa in the heart of Tuscany, in the middle of the Pisa province, really close to Pisa Airport. The bride and the groom spent some days there two years ago in holiday and they fell in love for it and they decided they big day was going to be there.

The owners of the Villa, Paolo and Elisa, have been very friendly, very kind and available at any time of the day to reply to questions about details and I am really pleased to have worked with them.

The catering has been provided by Barbara and her company Infinity Ricevimenti based in Florence, another lovely person to work with, very switched on and ready to accommodate every single detail requested. (I must admit as a foodie I loved spending my time translating wedding menus for my client…and Barbara gave me some really good menus!)

For the music entertainment I have worked with the company Affetti Sonori and I must say, I am really pleased to have chosen Federico Bianca, very professional, very friendly and his DJ set will go down a storm tonight, making the bride, groom and guests to dance all night…or at least until midnight.

The photographer who worked closely with Charlotte and Guy is the Italian photographer Domenico Costabile based in Siena, he is very professional and he has been working with Italian clients and clients worldwide, his English is perfect so the bride and groom dealt straight with him and I look forward to see all the amazing pictures of the big day.

A big thank you for the flowers arrangement made by Michela Grassotti flower designer, the colours chosen by us are enhancing the beauty of the Villa even more, so I am really pleased with the results.

A big thanks to the Ufficio di stato civile at San Giuliano Terme town hall, thanks to have been so understanding and thanks for all your help with the wedding procedure.

I must mentioned the Una Hotel Versilia located in Lido di Camaiore that welcomed the groom and the best man the day before the wedding, where the groom enjoyed his last dinner with a group of friends in the roof terrace restaurant

Transfer service has been done by the company Rental Driver owned by Fabrizio del Chicca, the company is based in Tuscany, Rental Driver took care of the British guests the night before the wedding.

I am sure I have forgotten someone and if I did please forgive me, I am so pleased about how this wedding worked out, I am so pleased to have met and I am now in contact with so many nice people, all so helpful and friendly, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience…I am so happy today and I am proud of my first proper wedding!!!

Dear readers

I had such a lovely week back home to visit my family and friends that when on Friday I was about to leave I felt tears coming down, I have been living abroad for nearly five years and I have never struggled to leave so much like this time! Anyway, I am back home with my husband and my gorgeous dog, finally summer has arrived in the Kingdom so I am enjoying long sessions in the garden, walking around town and I have to start to kick my own ass at the gym if I want to see some good results…and to get rid of the hangover caused by the weekend!

I am so pleased with myself today, my freelance collaboration with Spanish Mag Flic Magazine is going well and what a coincidence, in this issue Anna in Her wonderland talks Milano… you can find the link here!
